Would you Like to Volunteer?

Our Hope Pantry is always looking for a few good volunteers. Once a month you will have an opportunity to sign up and help our neighbors. On the day before our pantry, six volunteers are needed at 1:00 pm for about one and one half hours to unload and stock bread and produce. Then the rolling pantry shelves are put in place for Saturday, and we prepare the shopping bags. On Saturday, six volunteers are needed to shop with our clients, weigh the bags and help them to the cars. Helpers need to arrive by 9:50, and we should be closed up by 12:30. Please consider helping with this rewarding mission

was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was

a stranger and you invited me in. -- Matthew 25:35

PANTRY UPDATE

What an amazing, record-breaking pantry day we had in March! We distributed 1,702 lbs. of food, paper products and cleaning supplies in a single day! We served 39 families. Thank you to all our dedicated donors and volunteers who helped feed those in need.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Each month, “HOPE Food Pantry” provides access to healthy, nutritious food in a grocery store environment.  In 2018 we distributed over 15,000 lbs of emergency food to those in need in Macomb County.  The need is great and you can help in many ways…

You can participate in fundraisers. “ HOPE Food Pantry” operates several key fundraisers a year to support our food pantry.  You can volunteer, host your own fundraiser, or support “HOPE Food Pantry” by attending events or purchasing or selling tickets.

You can donate food.  The most needed items in the pantry are non-perishable items such as pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned meats, cereals and breakfast items, rice, macaroni and cheese, paper towels, toilet paper, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. All donations should be unopened, in original packaging, and unexpired.

You can make a gift.  Monetary donations to “HOPE Pantry” are the best way to help and get food on the table to those right here in Macomb County. We are able to purchase food at a reduced rate, allowing your dollar to go even further. Donations can be made in person, via text, online, or at our church office.  Would you consider being a “Friend of the Pantry” or a monthly donor to “HOPE Food Pantry”? If so, it's easy to donate online simpy click to go to our Give a Gift site.

If you are in need of assistance:

“HOPE” Food Pantry is open to all Macomb County residents the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 - 12 pm.  Doors open at 9:45 and clients are served on a first come first served basis.  "HOPE" Food Pantry is an equal opportunity provider.

We, as a church, and each one of us individually, are blessed to be able to support our neighbors, and this mission returns so much to all of us. We hope that you have the opportunity to participate in this ongoing project, as we continue to grow HOPE as a pantry and an extension of our church. We will continue to need your support to keep the pantry stocked. Your donations of paper towels, toilet tissue, tooth paste, bar soap, shampoo, laundry, dish detergent, and feminine hygiene products are very helpful.
